About us
Where calm meets cause
Sukoon means calm, or peace of mind. A spring is where fresh water rises and begins to flow. Sukoon Springs brings the two together: we want everyone to have the peace of mind that comes with safe, clean water.

Why Sukoon Springs?
Millions of people still lack access to safe water. Sukoon Springs spreads awareness of the water crisis and aims to partner with charities that bring clean water to communities in need.
How Sukoon Springs began
Sukoon Springs was started by me, Maryam Yasin. The more news I read from around the world, the more one thing kept coming up: water. In Pakistan, flash floods swept through towns and villages. In Sudan, conflict has left families struggling to find safe water to drink. In Afghanistan, communities are caught between drought and sudden floods, yet I rarely saw anyone fundraising for wells or clean water there. Countries like Ethiopia and Yemen face the same struggle but are hardly spoken about at all.
Clean water and sanitation for everyone is one of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, and I wanted to play some small part in getting there. Sukoon Springs isn’t a charity. It’s a place to raise awareness. Through our stories, articles and socials, we share what’s happening, explain why it matters, and point people towards established, recognised organisations already doing the work on the ground. In time, we aim to partner with charities directly.
Awareness first, because people can’t help with what they never hear about.
